Denver Waterbirth Photographer

I gave my birth to my daughter on dry land. Like many moms, when it came time to push my legs were placed in the stirrups, and I gave birth on my back. I loved my daughter's labor and birth (yes, I said LOVE!). It was the hardest and the best work I've ever done. But since becoming a birth photographer, I've learned that there are many other ways to have a baby...and water birth is what I hope for the next time we get pregnant. 

Throughout Denver, Colorado Springs, and Boulder, there are care providers that offer water birth. Almost all of the homebirth midwives across the front range will catch babies in the water, as will Mountain Midwifery Center, Baby and Company, the Birth Center of Boulder, and the Center for Midwifery at University Hospital. Below are some of my favorite waterbirth images...and I'm happy to say that this list grows and grows each month. Colorado may be dry...but we love having our babies in the water!
