The Birth of Phoenix - Denver Birth Photography

This was a special birth. A birth filled with both happiness and sadness. Baby Phoenix came after the loss of baby Easton. It's impossible to understand grief, but I know this: it never fully leaves us. And so with both joy and sorrow, this sweet family brought baby Phoenix into the world. Alison labored at Mountain Midwifery Center, a local birth center here in Denver, and she was surrounded by a wonderful team of family and friends. She was encouraged to listen to her body...and she did with great success. Baby Phoenix was born on our last warm day of fall. After a breakfast at City O' City, Alison arrived at the birth center. She labored with grace and strength, getting into the water as contractions grew intense. Baby Phoenix came into the world in peace, surrounded by love.
