Learn how to Film Birth Stories
I can hardly believe that registration is about to open up for my next Birth Film workshop with Everyday Films. I've had the supreme honor of teaching over 100 men and women from around the world over the past year, and it's been incredible to see some of the beautiful work that they're now producing in their local birth communities. Registration goes live on Tuesday, February 27th at 9pm CT. It sells out quickly so please make sure you bookmark this page!
Birth images are SO powerful, but there is something special about a birth film. Being able to watch the sway of a laboring mother...to hear a baby's first powerful cry...so very powerful. Many of my past students came into the course with ZERO experience in film. It can seem so intimidating when you start out! But I promise: with a little practice and a foundation of knowledge YOU CAN DO THIS! We cover how to use our equipment, how to work through the challenges of the birth space, how to edit (and deal with awful hospital lighting), and much more.
I'm excited to add some new content to my course (which starts in April) and I'd love to hear what you are most interested in learning about. Please comment below with 1-3 things that are on the top of your list! And please sign up below if you'd like to receive the occasional email with tricks and tips I use to photograph birth stories! I love sharing my knowledge with you!
