Birth at Boulder Birth & Holistic Health
I still remember when the Birth Center of Boulder (now known as Boulder Birth & Holistic Health) opened its’ doors back in 2014. As Boulder’s only free-standing birth center, this space was so needed…and so loved by the entire birth community. The deep purples and reds from the tapestries on the wall evoked both the power of birth…as well as the peace that extended to every person who walked through the birth center doors. For the last ten years, close to 1000 babies have been welcomed in this birth center, attended by the most loving and caring midwives.
I’ve had the honor to document births at this birth center year after year, and I was so grateful when the birth center’s ownership returned back to women/birth workers who have always known and cared about it the most. Whenever I receive an inquiry from a Boulder Birth family, my heart smiles because I know they’ll be surrounded by support and receive incredibly competent, compassionate care.
For those of you who are considering a birth center for your prenatal care and birth…here is a reason why this model of care might be a good for you:
People choose to give birth at a birth center because of the personalized care and intimate setting it offers. Many people are drawn to the holistic approach to childbirth that birth centers provide, focusing on natural, low-intervention birthing options. Additionally, the emphasis on family involvement and creating a peaceful atmosphere can be appealing to those wanting a more relaxed and intimate birthing experience. For some, the thought of avoiding unnecessary medical interventions commonly found in hospitals is a significant factor in choosing a birth center as their preferred birthing location. Ultimately, the desire for a supported, empowering, and family-centered birth experience leads many individuals to choose Boulder Birth & Holistic Health.
