Denver Birth Photographer - the Quick and Peaceful Mountain Midwifery Birth of Baby Calvin

Oh second babies. You're often far kinder to us than our firsts! When I met Jennifer and learned that she was having her second baby at one of my favorite birth spaces in Denver - Mountain Midwifery - I just knew she was going to have a wonderful birth. January 2016 was a busy month for me (and I was still in the thick of my own morning sickness) but when I got the call from Jennifer that they were heading to the birth center...I couldn't have been more excited. Jennifer's sweet husband was still wearing his work clothes when I walked through Mountain Midwifery's doors, and I found Jennifer working through her contractions with strength and peace. Before long, Jennifer felt ready to push...and her sweet baby boy came into the world. Such a beautiful waterbirth! But what made the whole evening even better was when Calvin's big sister came to the birth center. Her joy and delight in meeting her baby brother made me SO excited for the moment that my older daughter would meet the baby I was carrying inside. There are so many reasons to hire a birth photographer...and I can't help but think that Calvin's family will look back on these first moments with much love and joy for years and years to come.
