This birth and these images remind me of a crisp, fall morning…where the air is still warm but there’s a hint of cold in the air. They are warm, inviting, peaceful, and beautiful. The kind of birth images I’d want to curl up with. I’ve also included footage of the moment baby was born - caught and delivered by Ashlee herself.

Laura is an incredible labor and delivery nurse…who not only provides her patients incredible care and love, but also teaches thousands of people about birth through her instagram account. Her experience in the hospital coupled with her passion for unmedicated birth gives her followers such a unique and important perspective about what birth can look like in the hospital space. She hired us to document the arrival of her third baby, and we were so honored to be invited into the hospital she both works and births at. Avista Adventist hospital is truly one of the best hospitals for Labor & Delivery in our state. The midwife team at Avista Women’s care is truly exceptional. They truly support and encourage physiological birth. Denver, Boulder, and Colorado is lucky to have them!
A Fast Homebirth in Centennial, Colorado
Over the course of Sarah’s pregnancy, she decided that instead of a hospital or a birth center…she really wanted to be at home. It felt like an even better fit as COVID-19 began to take hold.
And I’m so glad she made the choice that she did! Her water broke on a warm summer morning…and things began to move QUICKLY. Within just a couple hours…she had her baby in her arms. Every birth is different…but this birth was so unlike her first birth. It caught us all by surprise in the most wonderful way.
